Her team knows exactly what needs to be done and the fact that they are not doing anything leads me to believe that boosting streaming numbers is not their priority at the moment. But I think the tour will have a positive effect on her catalog. This is the only factual hope we have atm.

It’s just strange that they would go to the effort of the Bruno collab and strategic playlisting in order to boost her streaming presence, but now they have no issues letting streams tank back down. Gaga is busy rehearsing but the label could be working on social media/tik tok content at the very least to keep things moving.

I keep seeing conflicting information on whether or not the weekly points of recurrent songs count towards its year end position on the Hot 100. It seems like Billboard doesn’t even fully know how it works.

Either way, good for Debra. If it does still count, Debra’s upcoming weeks on radio (though declining) will still count.

If the points no longer count, Debra spending it’s entire 20-week chart-run in the top half except one week will benefit, as not many songs do that, even with higher peaks.

The most recent “source” I’ve seen said it DOES count, because the year-end chart is based on the entire year’s performance. That’s what makes more sense to me, but idk how reliable anything is, and like I said, I’ve seen conflicting information.

Dead Dance (the song title) sounds like a ballad tbh, especially after Abra said “dance or die”

Yes, I agree with you. That’s why I think the priority has changed. Maybe they're working behind the scenes, preparing something to be released soon and waiting for the right moment according to their plans. Maybe they're waiting for the tour to start, since Gaga's catalog was boosted by the shows in the first half of the year. Or maybe this is all wishful thinking :laughga:

I did a quick research and yes, the information is rather confusing! The video below says that the year-end chart takes all of the combined performance for all of the songs, artists and albums on a particular chart throughout that chart and add them all together. So in my understanding, since Abra was removed from Hot 100, its weekly points won’t count, unless it re-enters the chart.

Well this is still not terrible if that’s the case. Even if I hate it lol.

Debra spending its entire chart run well inside the top half of the chart (except that one week it barely slipped out) is still very impressive. It will probably do better than most of the songs that lasted 20 weeks or less.

It’s common for a song that peaked at #13 to not even do a full 20-week chart run. Let alone stay inside the top half the whole time.

I do still hate the recurrence rule more than I thought I did before now, but oh well.

Yeah the cumulative performance over that period was great, let’s hope it can secure a good spot! It also depends on the performance of other songs, so it’s hard to say. But please note that I’m not sure of my answer! I couldn't find any more enlightening source on the subject.
