imma just say it, this is a good update:

-Abra over 3M
-4 songs over 2M and on Top 50.
-DWAS with just 80K gap to #2.
-Judas over 2.2M streams

We are just spoiled by 4 weeks of peaks.

Actually 180K gap to ordinary but point still stands :iamfair:

So are we all just gonna act like nothing happened and let the US monsters get away with not streaming MAYHEM and the older hits?

She needs to stop the LGBT shoutouts and support. I don't care what anyone says. The gays jump from one girl to the next in the U.S. They just care about the latest & newest thing. Michael is 100% right in going after the wider GP as the perception here is that her music is for gay people only (especially her pop music). The more she can diversify, the stronger her catalog will be. If there isn't an ROI on a particular audience segment, search for something else. Luckily for Gaga, that something else is literally 90%+ of the U.S. population.

She herself wouldn't want to do that, it's not about a business decision for her, it's about what she believes.

And tbh, how the world is atm, we need supportive voices like Gaga.

She can still try to appeal to a wider audience without sacrificing her principles, the march madness promo for Abra is a good example.

This is stupid. Out of all the countries in the world, she has the largest sum of devoted fans in the united states. We are currently in a hardcore conservative country. 90% of the music I have been listening to is gaga. I have said it so many times, the US is not like any European country or even Australia or Canada. This place is absolutely huge, there is so much diversity and a lot of ppl here stank.

Going from one side of the US to the other is like going from the Germany to Pakistan. Its a huge place. US monsters get lost in the sauce of 350M people.

I agree that she shouldn't trust the gays (trust as in heavily rely on, ofc) but the US is still her biggest market, even if she underperforms with catchy tunes like Disease and Abracadabra.

Plus, I don't really think she cares that much about charts and placements. Otherwise we would've had physicals, maybe a couple of late night appearances and performances, and stuff like that. She's ok with the way things are right now, and we should be too

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

To me the best decision she has made in returning to her very Gaga self with some pop dance elements and very dark Gaga elements, people are eating it. **** the US, Gaga is celebrated abroad and she's recognised as a HUGE international force.

I'm quite glad the last year has proven the 'only balladGa = success' narrative very wrong. Nobody's touching The Beast and BoG, Happy Mistake has been totally ignored while getting a performance and TTH and other big playlists placement, HMH had big issues while being featured in a billion dollars smash movie.

Abracadabra is her latest big success and I hope the visual of next single will follow the same direction. That what the world wants from her. The US will let either ballad / toned down or pop dance Gaga underperform anyway.
