The show was also a big thing in South America, especially Argentina, Uruguay and Chile, so expect a big increase in those countries as well.

Gaga has a week off until her Singapore shows, so I'm hoping Interscope pulls something out to keep the hype.

Don't forget Ms. Paraguay

I saw lots of paraguayan monsters who attended on tiktok

Considering how they treated DWAS this year, he's probably gonna win

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

He's won 22 Grammys already with just 5 albums. He usually sweeps the rap categories and this year he won his first two general field Grammys if I'm not mistaken.

It would be nice to reward Gaga this time, given her second peak and historic achievements this era, but I think we all know the Grammys don't really like her that much. Sure they can give her every pop award there is, but that's pretty much it.

DWAS, the biggest song of the decade, was snubbed; ASIB was not even nominated for AOTY; Shallow and ARUTW did not win SOTY; Chromatica was not nominated for AOTY (before y'all come for me, they nominated Coldplay and Post Malone that year but I guess Dua Lipa was the pop girlie that took her spot); Love for Sale was nominated just because it was Tony's last album and I Get a Kick out of You being nominated for ROTY is pretty random but follows the same logic.

I don't know about you but I clearly see a pattern here  :traumatica:

To be fair biggest song of the decade didnt hold up in last years eligeability period... when they were submitting nominees and when then when voting the song was still way newer and had just peaked in charts

On top of that last year it was a solid Hit WW but took longer to peak in USA, and it will be huge in USA but probably not song of the decade like it might be WW

I agree that the timing was not in our favor but still they chose a diss track that uses the same "A minor chord" joke and that went viral just cause of the Drake hate train. It is a pretty good song, don't get me wrong, but song of the year? Against an acclaimed ballad by two of the biggest popstars ever? I don't know about that. I can understand ROTY, cause the production eats, but not SOTY. Even Billie deserved that award more

Oh I agree with you 100% on all of this. My comment was very specifically at the song of the decade argument

It might be song of the decade globally but it definitely wont be in USA where Gammys are based (maybe for the year of 2025?)

And even in the US the song was just peaking when voting was happening so...

Although it may Globally potentially be biggest song of decade (top 5 for sure, lets see)... For 2025 Grammys looking at 2024 music (in USA mostly) its not a factor that would hold much weight at that time
