Stupid love, perfect illousion, and Disease all went through it. BUT, imo Disease has had the most success out of the three.

Actually Stupid Love had the most success among the three. The song debuted at #5 and spent 10 weeks, most of the weeks inside top 40. But Disease is the supreme one that deserved better :firega:

Ok let me lay out my reasoning even though no one asked. Debra as Single #1-- if she released in October, it could've launched the era in a much stronger way with WW visibility, return to form narratives, hype for the album, people knowing the viral video & dance etc. Honestly whatever single she put out then would have been overshadowed by DWAS from a streaming and radio standpoint, so the writing's in the wall for Single #1. It still would've charted decently well (and definitely better than Disease).

GOE should've gotten the Debra treatment come the new year with the Grammys spotlight. I wish she would have performed the song at the Grammys (she could've done the single & that fire song for the top 1% who lost their homes in the Pallisades). It has just enough edge for Gaga while still being an earworm with a great chorus. I would say it is still a risk, but knowing the rest of the album, this is the option she has. Hope it takes off.

Then come swinging with the summer song of her career in June, just as DWAS is dying off and GOE (if it flopped or was successful) starts to die too. With this single mix, she left nothing on the table to promote the album and put her best foot forward from a commercial standpoint. Yes, throw in How Bad or whatever if you want to have some fun but please just make sure you release GOE and VIY.

Happy to disagree :huntyga:

Stupid love got physicalls, Disease would easily be in top10 with physicals. Also Disease got already more than half stupid love total streams :firega:

That wouldve been a poor decision considering she was still receiving a ton of flack from Joker. :abra:

Her team played their right cards with the Grammy release for "Abracadabra mv" tbh.

@monketsharona thoughts ...
