Most optimistically, I was expecting the gays to heavy-lift the song and in the best case, give it a RoM-like performance but it appears to have crossed over to a larger audience. I think it's safe to say MAYHEM is the most anticipated album this year as of now. A literal dream Ngl I was a bit worried about the commercial performance of the album as there was little hype post-Disease and everyone was expecting DWAS to carry the streams - now it seems like it'll at the very least perform like Renaissance (13/16 tracks over 100M+). I know the album is going to be good and I'm really excited to see how the era will unfold. Obviously she's not gonna pull a 1M+ debut in the year of our lord 2025 but overall, it may even out-do Born This Way. I can't remember how many times I've doubted this woman on whether she still had it artistically or commercially and she never failed to gag me - but b*tch I didn't see a motherquake of this magnitude, especially given that she just gave us one of the biggest smashes of this decade a few months ago. These few days alone felt bigger than the entire run of Shallow - Oscar and #1s included (of course I have recency bias and a dance song smashing is a lot more relevant to me as an OG Gaga stan but you know what I mean). It really feels like once again, she's the most interesting artist in the world Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here?
