I kind you not, some of twitter are saying she is copying Ava Max…. AVA MAX!!!!! ‘She’s screaming ow MA MA MA’ Ava Max… but apparently Gaga is copying her… ow we are losing the plot majorly. People either denying or not being aware of Gaga’s influence on how pop songs are crafted today is CRAZY and honestly I blame Gaga herself for not being cockyer about it.

Haters will say anything to delude themselves lol

The titles are kinda hilarious because they seem DARK AND CRAZY like BTW, but then they serve light, breezy Fame Era vibes. :wtfga:

Why do you all say it is similar to the fame? I would thank GOD for that but it is not, there is no sinth pop and she screams too much, it is everything too loud, like she did in chromatica, i would love to ear something like poker face, lovegame, alejandro, where she does NOT SCREAM SO LOUD

Vanish Into You  That song gave me life :giveup:her best song in years for sure :kara:

Garden of Eden, Zombieboy, and Blade of Grass slay :firega:

But to be honest, I have mixed feelings as well...

Lovedrug, How bad do you want me, and Don't call tonight back to back are just very similar to me and very mid on first few listens...

Shadow of a Man and The Beast are nice

Perfect Celebrity is okay I guess, I love the "You love to ha-a-a-te me" part, but not feeling the chorus that much

And Killah... yeah... wtf is that song :toofunny: I would never expect a song with that title on this album to be funk :toofunny: I'm not saying it's bad, just not my taste, unfortunately...

But I'm sure after a few more listens I'll be obsessed with all of them :laughga:

“Screams so much” oh the good sis doesn’t know ANYTHING about singing, I fear 😭

I still don't know why some of you are saying this isn't hard-hitting / dark pop...

It literally is

Thank god Gaga’s using the full extent of her vocal abilities on this record. Genuinely her best album in terms of vocal performance.

I mean, a solid chunk of it isn’t (and that’s okay, it’s still great)

Gaga’s titles are always so tricky. Killah, Zombieboy, The Beast and How Bad Do U Want Me sound like they’re these dark stuff and are so light which is still great but we put ideas in our head about these things.

Takes me back to when I read “Heavy Metal Lover” thinking it’d sound more like Electric Chapel.

I’ll wait 3 more hours for my local release but the reactions so far are… interesting

I will listen with an open mind. Since there seems to be lots of funk, guitars and influences from Bowie, Prince and Michael Jackson I’m optimistic that I’m going to love it

Can’t wait to hear the album in the morning, hoping my LP arrives while I work from home so I’ve not got to listen on streaming. Was considering a VPN earlier but i can’t figure it out  :max: Reading all your reactions is giving me hope and hype

I’ll listen to it again tonight, I’m sure some songs will grow on me like those on Harlequin. I had a hard time discovering it (and there’s still songs I haven’t discovered) but I really love it now.

I won’t lie, the first listen was really painful, I wanted to skip every song, they all felt soooo long :selena:

The three singles are all 10/10 but then the only part I enjoyed on my first listen was the verses on Killah

Maybe I’ll have to learn to enjoy each song individually before taking it all in
