I cannot breathe. Lost count what number run through I am on. I am going to make a post regarding us of geezers and how this album hit. But trust. If you are over 30yo this is everything our lives haves waited for. No skips. Send help. Send pizza. Send nudes. I am not okay.

Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas.

HBDYWM is so cringe omg, I can hear the Yazoo sample but it’s not hitting like it should. I see what people meant when they mentioned Taylor. May have to delete her from the track list so the album flows better.

Finally listened. Ok honestly you guys all had me scared AF.

Vanish Into You is amazing, it had a RIKI, Glass Spells, Cannons vibe. I wish they gave it that small push to take it darkwave. It was so close to getting there

Garden of Eden is serving BLACKOUT

Blade of Grass is the best thing she's put out

Perfect Celebrity, amazing. Duh

The Beast is great! Love it

Surprised I love Zombieboy. Such a fun track

Need more time with Killah but whew that bridge is so punk rock, hell yeah

Lovedrug is very Kylie, I wanna like it so I'll listen to it more. I wish it had some more electric guitar. Listening to it right now actually, I'm bopping.

HBDUWM, trash, sorry, no no no. #NotMyGaga lol but for reals. Hell no.

Don't Call Tonight, the bridge was so good. I need way more time with this one. It reminds me of something, can't put my finger on it

Shadow was so fun, needs to be a single

First listening done! I’m actually surprised, I thought it would be more electronic ! But I think I’ll love it

it’s not a returning to her past work, but there’s still a lot of influence of her past eras. I thought about it while blade of glass was blasting reminding me of Joanne on the instrumentation but ARTPOP in the way she sings

Paying attention to the lyrics right now. Probably I'm reaching but there's many moments where the flow writing reminds me a lot of the way Michael Jackson used to build up a song?

I don't know, for me every album from her contains at least a couple of songs which in terms of lyrics seem... Forced, even vague. I find that in like no songs on Mayhem

All of them are very relatable

Just... wow

Garden of Eden is fun but some of the lyrics sound so basic on Mayhem :ohno: I was really hyped to listen to this album and I actually feel pretty sad that my music taste has changed that much I’m struggling to enjoy anything bar Disease, Abra, Perfect Celebrity

Very Fame but modern. Love it! I am huge Queen, Muse, No Doubt, Killers etc fan and have wanted her to tap into that vibe more from day one. I think for the fans who started with her in 2008 and pre 2008, and who really liked the back half of the the Fame - and its bonus tracks/demos - this album on a whole hits the spot. And those fans won’t be as bothered by the more electro pop dance tracks being more stand alones to the glam rock/pop tracks. Such as the Red One Poker Face, Just Dance were really outliers on the Fame.

Also when she was recording this she kept giving us hints with Prince, guitars etc. Anyone paying close attention could deduct the album will lean into those influences at times. I do think it’s the first time the marketing doesn’t exactly align with the vibe but that’s her choice.
