I’m so happy we have her as an artist on the scene. Sometimes I wish Gaga weren’t as big as she is because she’d be banging out records with this level of inventiveness as well, but I feel sometimes the industry stands between her and some of her visions (plus the fact that she’s such an overthinker for the better or worse 😅) 

im very excited for LG7 and have a real good feeling about it, but Eusexua was the album I was looking forward to the most and it 100% delivered

I think you missed the point, we aren’t mad at North, she’s literally a child she’s innocent in all this per say. Ultimately North needs her parent’s consent to work, so people are upset Twigs went outta her way to make a deal with Kim and Kanye.

What a beautiful album. Wanderlust just hit me in the face.  Is it better than Mary Magdalene? I don't think so but  it's a solid 8.5/10 for me.  (I think she could have gone harder on some songs!)

I wish Gaga would do this because she is that big. An artist like Gaga dropping a genuinely boundary pushing, experimental, but still very hooky and pop leaning record like this is exactly what the mainstream needs.
 

It’s what made Madonna so necessary in the 90s and early 2000s. She wasn’t doing anything revolutionary, rather taking musical ideas and underground music scenes and mainstreaming them with her massive platform.

It fostered some of the most interesting and fun pop culture moments in history.

Absolutely agree and very much so have my hopes up for LG7, but where few artists go to a 100% and risk failing in creating a new album in this musical landscape I always feel like Gaga stays at an impressive, but for her very safe 85%.

Great album, I love Sticky, Room of Fools and most of all Eusexua reigns supreme (there's something so otherworldly about that track)

Im getting a loooot of Kate Bush influence actually, not the music but the style of singing.

Childlike things is cute but should have had kyary pamyu pamyu

 

other than that it’s a fine album imo. Actually quite good! Marketed WRONG, though, bc it’s really not all that sexy or erotic. It’s quite austere and removed and slow. None of this is bad but it was sold differently.

i don’t like when it sounds like ray of light (girl feels good, wanderlust) bc it sounds like she used chords or specific drum packs from that album here but didn’t iterate on them at all. It’s never bad just a little been there, Madonna did better imo. And I love twigs’ voice but its delivery here doesn’t have the warmth in it for some of these productions. She sings with a crystalline remove that makes it hard for her to carry songs on these beats imo. Eusexua works bc it’s so ethereal. Drums of death bc it’s austere. Even wanderlust works for the former reason! But Girl feels good or whatever and room of fools felt at odds. Sticky was great and the climb in keep it, hold it is a huge standout.

 

but the album kind of feels a little warm and toasty when drums of death says feel HOT HOT HOT. the songs needed to really GO THERE in both inventiveness and intensity but fell a wee bit short. It’s definitely not bad. I think she always sounds great, the songs are quality and listenable or danceable and great for playlisting but I think she could have taken it a little further as she did on Magdalene.

Love itt! Due to a "familiarity bias" my favorites for the moment are still the singles, we'll see how it goes in a week... but it's a no-skips for me, honestly.

I'm about to be so well fed with this along with Mayhem and Banks' Off With Her Head coming next month
