He doesn't actually care about immigration, he just said what his hateful base wanted to hear. Maybe there will be some highly publicized deportations but to reach the numbers he wants, well it would take a lot of organization and money and planning and I don't think they did that. And it also has a negative economic effect. There might be some activity in this area but honestly I don't think it will be huge, it's more political theater like the TikTok Ban was. We know his administration is full of ideologues. Creating chaos in order to install more authoritarian institutions could be the point. Am sure there are some criminals amongst them, but most are law abiding people who want to contribute. The Europeans grew tired of the hatred directed at them and many left, leaving our social care, farming, lorry driving, catering and entertainment sectors short of people.
