I'm confused that Robbie Williams seems unknown to Americans. He was one of the big names for a short time when I was around 12. I'm sure you've all heard Angels.

It's MTVs fault tbh

I discovered that in Europe and Asia we missed many American singers because they didn't fit the market according to MTV Europe. many of them are rappers and country singers.

Like Shania Twain had to release "dance mix" of her songs in Europe because they didn't think that European will like the country version so their solution was a eurodance remix lol we have people that only knows the Dance Mix of Don't Impress Me Much and not the original version :air:

I hated everything since rudebox lol the album is so trash :poot:

I think his problem was that he still wanted to maintain the bad boy persona in his 40s and it just looked like a

When I saw people debating about Robbie Williams online, I saw someone say "oh shut up Americans, your country singers are not relevant either, we only know Dolly Parton and Shania Twain" :ladyhaha:

i mean he's not wrong, he's a huge household name in the UK so i'm not surprised taylor was shook at the audience reaction

however his biopic tanking just shows a lack of interest in him currently rather than his actual place in UK music history and his team should have spent a lot of time working him back into mainstream media before releasing the movie

put the f*cker on Dancing On Ice for god sake

i must agree. he's retail music to me. not a serious artist

my head is filled with broken mirrors, so many I can't look away

Ziggy Stardust

I used to love Robbie when I was younger. He was larger than life in Europe.
He just lost his appeal somewhere later on… 🤷🏻‍♀️

And let’s not forget his Take That years, who were the most superior boy band of all times, if you ask me. Unfortunately they never made it in the US, I believe, but here in Europe they would totally smash. They were everywhere, inescapable!

Go on and watch the videos, and thank me later ;)

I can't find it, but there is a different one[5:15]

The confidence of newer artists always surprises me. Even an A-lister like Gaga had to say (before she sang Angel Down I think) "If you know the words, sing it with me."

Such amount of disrespect towards a legend like Robbie. Taylor is another good example of those americans who think all that matters is the US. Y'all should repent!

This is such a tired take. There are massive country artists in the US that sell out stadiums (Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs) who have little to no international appeal or support. Nobody is making a fuss about that

RAMROD

Love lots of Robbie's songs, and that he is a good friend of Spice Girls, but so funny how he gloat about being a local act :enigma:

I'm also VERY famous among my close group of friends. Practically every single one of them knows me.

This post is what I'll remember him for.

Robbie Williams is a dilf, but beyond that I vaguely remember the "Rock DJ" music video but I don't remember the song. It certainly wasn't a hit, though. I don't even think he's a one-hit-wonder in the US.
