I've also been a woman for 39 years and yes, the world has become more conservative. Look at the US alone, women can't even decide over their own bodies anymore. I'm not religious and not the slightest bit offended by any religious imagery, but trust me they would have a field day if she would mount a cross. The GP wants Gaga to sing love songs at the piano. They can ignore her if she acts crazy to them (like they did with Disease), but I believe that at this point, when she pulls out the religious imagery in a sexualized (and cheesy AF but ok) manner, she'll be an easy target to haters. I think this image is fanmade and the concept is outdated, unoriginal and tacky and I hope she's gonna do something else. A self plug but my entire 2nd album is about religious trauma and I just enjoy singing and writing about it.
