I'm convinced that even her fanbase get startled when she switches up genre and visuals, not just general public haha.

Ngl, it has the opposite effect for me. I have not listened to it since early Dec. Nor do I have the urge to. Maybe once I see it in the context of the entire album, i’ll appreciate it more.

Also, one of the biggest radio stations in the UK (Radio 1), still has Disease on their A List and plays it all the time, which is also why I’ve been hearing it so much 

Tbh I overplayed it like, a gross amount initially, (It gave me whole body chills) to the point I had to leave it alone for a bit - but reading this inspired me to jump back on it

It’s so weird when I see comments like “I haven’t heard it for months” like my relationship with music is so intense, I listen to music as much as possible and mostly music by my favorite artists (Gaga being THE favorite)

I even try to listen to different artists like I’ve been listening to Fiona Apple a lot recently but I always feel the urge to come back to Gaga bops every now and then

The only explanation I have for it not becoming a hit (yet) is DWAS's success and no performance.

I really hope she performs it soon.

It's by far one of her best songs in a while and an incredible first single.
