I'm convinced that even her fanbase get startled when she switches up genre and visuals, not just general public haha.

That said I think it was a great lead to slowly ease back into the umm maxamalist album sound

Ngl, it has the opposite effect for me. I have not listened to it since early Dec. Nor do I have the urge to. Maybe once I see it in the context of the entire album, i’ll appreciate it more.
