Railing 2,368
9 hours ago, Kayi said: I briefly heard of her name. RedOne himself, who allegedly worked on Gaga biggest hits, said that Gaga wrote herself her songs and then give royalties to her producers. She references her old songs in her new songs, she loves to do that. Except "Disease", most of her songs contains repetitive onomatopoeias... She used to write songs for other singers. Like how could ppl deny her involvement in songwriting and say that she gagged over a basic 2010s electro song...? Some of her songs were ofc bought from other artists but she collaborated with these artists to make it more personal like "Sinner's prayer", "Perfect Illusion", "Sine from above", "Die with a smile",... If I'm not wrong "Nothing on but the radio" might be one of the few song that she didn't wrote and just modified some lyrics. She really loved this song cause it was about Marylin Monroe, and even RuPaul said that Gaga really loved this song. Who's to say she wasn't going to rewrite this song if she got it? She gagged over Karma Bitch by Anjulie and now it's a completely different song with the same instrumental called Donatella Speaking to your latter point, another song she didn't write but made some edits to was (allegedly) TIHTY. There's also Sour Candy, which has some added sections (refrain/2nd verse) but otherwise incorporates the entirety of its pitch demo by Madison Love. No one's denying that Gaga's a talented songwriter, but she also takes pitches sometimes.
ALGAYDO 30,352
100% see it. This song, I Like It, and Dirty Dancer are all very similar (production wise) to what Gaga and RedOne were releasing at that time.
