To elaborate some on Bronco’s correct answer, the important distinction between the two fires is that these fires are not just happening in far out suburban areas, they’re encroaching in on densely populated metro areas as well. 

While at the moment the death toll is lower than 2018, the value of destroyed property and the disruption to the local economy is significantly higher. The more the actual city of Los Angeles is affected rather than just surrounding neighborhoods and suburbs, the more issues it’s going to cause.

The reason this seems to be on such a larger scale is because more people are having to be evacuated due to the effected areas being more densely populated, and the fires themselves are more spread out in different areas which is making it difficult for firefighters to manage. 

It is not rare for California to see wildfires, but it is pretty rare for major metro areas like Hollywood and Malibu to be caught in the middle. 

The reason all these events are stuff are being cancelled is because they would be happening right in the areas that are currently being impacted by the active fires. Like for context, if you were to visit Universal Studios Hollywood (the theme park and the backlot), you’d be able to see fires. It’s that close to major, major infrastructure.

Delaying is the bare minimum predictable move she’d do. She’s probably scheming something akin to the Covid One World at Home thing from April 2020. Or at least a big dono.

I was here, but that was something impacting the whole world and things were cancelled out of her control. What is going on in LA is terrible, dont get me wrong, but there are many other things going on in the world that would not affect album rollouts, that imo are bigger than the fires. And like I said, I fully support her doing something to help, but delaying your album is not helping anyone

Because Chromatica was delayed in 2020 is the exact reason why I believe LG7 WILL NOT be delayed. She was too excited for this, she was too proud for this. She's not gonna let something like this happen again. Trump is coming too. So many things are happening for her not to make us dance to her new music.

How exactly is it helping? Do the fires get extinguished by delaying? Are there more firefighters of equipment available by doing it? Are the burned down houses rebuilt? Are there shelters being placed for the people that lost their homes? No. 
 

And since you want to go black and white, why not delau the album because of the wars in Urkraine or Israel? Or because of the massive floods in Spain last year? Oh those dont matter to you? Grow up

Check my last direct response to you. It's been covered even if you didn't want to pay attention. She has members of her team dedicated to making an album rollout happen. Some of those members are LA-based and can now focus on the wildfires threatening their homes instead of an album. That helps them. 

Some of us understand that a disaster in one's own neighborhood changes plans more than a disaster going on across an ocean while you're whining because you may have to wait a few extra weeks for some music.

So it sounds more appropriate for ✨️you✨️ to grow up.

I am not whining that I have to wait longer on the album. I am just saying, there are multiple things she could do to actually help the victims (and we dont even know if people of her team are a victim), and her silence about all of it is annoying me. I would completely understand if she delayed because people of her team lost their homes, but for now that is all just speculation. Saying, oh, I delay the album out of respect, like the Weeknd did, is just pretend. Do something to actually help, and communicate. Like Beyonce did, dont give a new date and actually give the fans the chance to help by donating. A clear example of communicating with the fans and actually help
