Warner, Sony, BMG, Universal cancel Grammy week events

Warner Music Group, Sony Music and BMG have confirmed that they are canceling their Grammy Week events due to the wildfires still raging in Los Angeles, a rep for the company confirms to Variety. The moves come a day after Universal made a similar announcement.

Universal Music announced on Monday that its annual showcase and Grammy afterparty were called off this year, just hours after the Recording Academy posted a statement saying that the Grammy ceremony will go on as scheduled on Sunday, Feb. 2.

I know this situation is serious but how serious is it compared to the 2018 wildfires?  It seems to be way worse but idk, is it on the same area?

No she does not. Like I said earlier, what does delaying an album help in defeating the fire or getting people their homes back? NO! It is giving “Ukraine 12 points at Eurovision to show support” which doesnt help anyone

Atm land wise & death wise I believe they aren't as bad. 

But because of where got burned they are likely going to be more expensive to the economy/insurance etc

It means that members of her team can focus on the logistics of where they're gonna live now and how they're gonna rebuild their family homes instead of making sure PR events and rollouts are going smoothly.

LA is the heart of the entertainment industry, and the city is currently fighting for its life. Acting like nothing's happening would be felt as extremely tone deaf. I know we're all disappointed events are getting cancelled or delayed, but there are things in life called priorities.
