Do You Wish Gaga To Delay LG7 (Release or Announcement)?

I don’t think the album is going to be delayed but a lot of the reactions here and elsewhere have been frankly embarrassing to witness

Lets say the album is supposed to come out Feb 28th (last friday of it), that's still like 6 weeks away. The fires are such a tragedy but I don't think it's something to move LG7 like The Weeknd album coming out during these days. The Oscars are also going to announce nominees in 2 weeks, Critics Choice moved to 2 weeks. The Grammys are in 2 and a half weeks and doesn't seem like they'd move that.

I think right now we should give her time to decide her next move. She is known for putting herself out there in crisis so I can see her being busy working on some kind of fundraising as we speak.

Meanwhile, it appears on Google that the Palisades fire is getting closer and closer to Malibu towards her direction.   What is going on? Has she evacuated yet with her pets?

We have no idea what impact the fire would have had on the album's february release date if they announced it in advance like you suggest. 

The fire has the potential to impact the entertainment industry for months with disruption. Production halts, cancelled events, reschedulled events, delayed launches, damages to equipment etc.

It’s a bit of an awkward situation. Yes there is a catastrophe that has happened. And it has happened to rich white people (and others obviously)  in America so of course it’s going to be treated as the worst thing to have ever happened ever. Beyoncé delaying her announcement and announcing that delay kinda pisses on the fire for everyone else because they’ll be measured against her response. 
 

I don’t think she should Delay the album but I think there’s no doubt that the announcements have been delayed till at least the end of jan or beginning of feb. 
 

at the end of the day a very real incident occurred with a loss of life and environment and gaga doesn’t owe anyone anything despite the attitudes of some monsters

I'd still wager that Critics Choice end up getting cancelled with the date they picked still being in January. If the fires are still burning close to the 26th the LAFD/LAPD will revoke the event permits because they won't want resources diverted.

tbh i wouldn’t mind if the album release was delayed by a bit to allow more time to fully immerse ourselves back into the era & make room for a new single to drop + more teasing between the announcement and the release date. Having more time in the pre era (considering it wouldn't be as dry as it is atm) would make the lead up to the album feel more exciting rather than having it arrive so quickly

although i hope the fire situation didn't affect the tracklist I still wanna hear that hollywood's a ghosttown song
