What upsets me the most is the state of the WHOLE WORLD is lamentable right now and those announcement/projects were a way to escape that. I do not drink, I don't do drugs. I cope with music from my faves. I just hope they stop the fires as soon as possible.

and the fact is her, her team and label are based in LA where the problem is occurring so why don't we put the dots together and realise this isn't "oh no!!! america is more important!!", it's that because gaga is directly affected herself and it would be really cruel for her and anyone on her team to be forced to work when their livelihoods are at stake

Don’t know how she can do a surprise release when we already know there’s like max 4 days she could release on, with knowing her, the most likely being Friday Feb 28th…

So if the sense is her grown ass team still fumbling releases, then sure. Sense made. 

I mean, I don’t disagree with the merch and physicals part. They really should’ve had those prepared.

But also, this is the same woman who teased the whole “XX October: LG7 first single” thing and she ended up releasing it on the last Friday of October. By the 3rd Friday, we knew at that point it wasn’t a surprise anymore.

Honestly though, I don’t mind the fact that she’s only making announcements or releasing info close to a release date. There are less leaks that way and at least then we know a release is imminent. Could you imagine if she announced something on New Years Day (like many people thought she would) and then had to delay something because of the fires? People would be even more angry and impatient than they are now.

To be fair ----- so many entertainers live and work here. If their homes or lives or families are affected that's gonna be in bad taste to party while people are suffering in their home town
