Nothing new, but more detailed and less subtle than we've heard it before. This was the time after she got abbused, dropped by her label, addicted to coke and dating a douche. 

I'm suprised at how short this time lasted and how quick she became a focused popstar right after this period.

I guess she really went all in, work hard, play hard. Make music all day, party and fight with her boyfriend all night.

By the sound of this, Gaga was exhausted at the time. Probably explains her clumsiness.

This 2000 party era that I lived through as well was intense. Many girls barely ate to fit into low rise jeans and crop tops, smoked lots of sigarettes instead and went drunk after one drink at night cause they barely ate.

I'm so glad thus fase was short-lived for Gaga and she got out of it.

Gaga was messy in her early 20's - name me a 20-something who wasn't. She had a boyfriend who was a bad influence on her - happens all the time. Where is the news here? We know this stuff. Gaga had the classic rock n roll story of becoming famous, what else is new? I thought she was going to say something really bad the way it was going, like she set that girls furniture on fire deliberately but "...while making a spaghetti dinner" makes it all better. And we know she did go-go dancing, likely with the Dutch courage of a shot or two. And who cares that she went to private school? Her parents weren't paying her bills at that time, she was all self-funded. And this was at the stage where she'd been dropped from Def Jam and moved back to NY, had been through abuse and really hard times. I'd forgive messiness after all she went through. Had to laugh at "how is the most messed up person we know a popstar now?" It's like...fame attracts insane people, we been knew. Didn't like the implication that because she was a bit of an annoying roommate at times that this meant she didn't deserve fame. I'd understand this girl coming out with this years ago but in 2025? Who cares?

Discussing someone’s personal issues/demons how many years later as an obvious attempt to get some kind of traction or encourage people to **** talk about said person will always rub me the wrong way, no matter who it is  But that’s just me

I think there’s plenty of info out there already that describes how that time was like rock bottom for her, this isn’t really anything new

I know people have mixed opinions on her man from this time, but according to Gagapedia he wants to be referred to privately and not have his reputation attached to Lady Gagas. This is why some fans nickname him "Nebraska Guy" to avoid using his identity. I don't know what exactly could be done, but maybe feature this comment so people give him privacy?

Before people try to make this seem like something it's not, I am not defending any bad behaviors of his when he was with Lady Gaga. I just think this is important to share.

Yeah... But the general reaction is the opposite  It was a funny story and very relatable. I think almost everyone had a similar phase but also Gaga went through some very difficult times and now she's in a better place

Lollllll I’m sorry but this woman just sounds boring and bitter.

I went to art uni in London and got well in with the underground scene (and met a few aspiring musicians to) and trust me ALL of them young creative kids were seriously wild party animals, experimenting with drugs, sleeping about and general “train wrecks”. It’s the rockstar city lifestyle. It’s messy but it’s absolutely bohemian. Work hard, play harder, and enjoy your youth to the max. At least Gaga was having fun being unapologetically herself on the NYC scene as she should, and just look what came out of all that.

To be honest, the part about her wealth is kinda relatable lol. I’ve paid for people’s uber when they’re ****ed up, pick up someone’s tab because they’re either too much of a mess or purposely trying to get out of paying, etc etc the standard stuff to try to help an acquaintance… only to find out later down the road that they make more money than I do and, oh yeah, they couldn’t give **** if I picked up their slack. Never saw their asses again, much less got a thank you 

But obviously Gaga knows she was a mess and I think tried to make amends for it in her own way by just trying to a more positive person overall. Not everyone has that epiphany though.
