Chesescake 3,707 Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:55 AM (edited) If you're not into ambient music or this is your first time getting into 7+ min slow-paced music, you can play the music while doing other things. Let the music soak in. Apple: https://music.apple.com/tw/album/perverts/1781666357 Edited yesterday at 02:02 AM by Chesescake 3
Windowlicker 3,117 Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:29 AM (edited) Really enjoyed this. It's getting some pretty good reviews as well. Definitely not an album (or EP, in her words) for anyone expecting "American Teenager" or even anything remotely melodic and structured, but if you enjoyed "August Underground" or "Televangelism" from Preacher's Daughter, it might be worth checking out. Logan 20,600 Posted yesterday at 01:39 AM Share Posted yesterday at 01:39 AM This EP is going to be very polarizing for a lot of Preacher's Daughter fans, but I personally love this artistic direction. It's like being trapped in a Silent Hill hellscape. Raw, visceral, depressive. This is definitely a piece of work that you have to be very intentional when listening to, either laying in bed with headphones on or on a lonely night drive. It makes you feel icky and sick on the inside, but also at peace. Hard Times is my favorite Ethel song, Amber Waves invokes similar feelings for me.

tyler k 4,871 Posted yesterday at 05:50 AM Share Posted yesterday at 05:50 AM currently listening and on Pulldrone... it's giving ambient horrorcore a few tracks have been genuinely scary (maybe bc I'm stoned in my room alone in the dark lol) but the atmosphere she's creating is absolutley incredible... Vacillator is the most accesible so far, it's really pretty and the guitar is welcome break to the droning Absolutely loving this album though, it's wild and spooky and beautiful mmmy name ~isn't~ aliceee

elijahfan 25,007
Wow, this is a journey. Can’t say I’ll be listening on repeat like I did with Preacher’s Daughter and Inbred, but that’s an experience.
