Bebe 16,989
So I was doing my daily strands today and what do I see FIRST THING??! (ignore that I clearly have found another word based on hint, I tried Lady before taking the screenshot): I was immediately filled with rage at the blatant homophobia of NYT for having a theme of “Front Women” and then spelling “Lady Gaga” through the middle of the screen when it wasn’t a valid word. This was slightly calmed when I then guessed Gaga separately: Anyways our girl got a shout out and I finished the puzzle with no hints Strands #310 “Front women” 🔵🟡🔵🔵 🔵🔵🔵🔵 Despite the positive outcome for Ms Gaga and myself, I still believe the positioning of Lady and Gaga next to each other was not only intentional but constitutes a hate crime. I WILL, therefore, be contacting the relevant authorities. Feel free to share your experience with today’s Strands as they will be useful as I proceed with a class action lawsuit for emotional damages. Bebe 16,989
Me choosing to believe the “Yass” reacts are for me finishing Strands with no hints rather than Gaga getting a shout out:

Bebe 16,989
1 minute ago, Controversiaga said: What game is this !! Strands! It is an NYT word game alongside Wordle and Connections. Each day is a new theme and you have you find all the words (and the spangram which is a word, or two, that spells out the theme in more plain language). Eg. in this one you can see the theme was Deep Dive, the spangram was “Marine Life” and there are a number of words related to the theme like “Shark”, “Octopus” and “Whale” across the board. It’s deceptively simple, but can be difficult. When you begin the entire board is grey because you haven’t found any words yet, the theme is vague and as long as the letters are connected the words can be spelt diagonally, backwards, sideways, up, down or a combination of all. Good brain tease.

Basically exactly the same except the the letters just need to touch in order to spell a word rather then line up.
