Announcing an Album too soon before it's drop would be stupid. She should create hype and soon after put out pre-order, vinyls and cd's as well as another single.

I don’t think so, I think she was honestly sick of Pop music and being a popstar at the time because she had been through a lot of negative trauma associated with her music, she’d just done Joanne which had label interference all over it, her music wasn’t received from that era as she had hoped specifically by her family (as you can tell from the Five Foot Two doc), she’d started making a more organically 90s album but then she had to cancel yet another tour, and she broke up with yet another partner (Christian Carino) and she probably had flashbacks to the BTWB and ARTPOP all over again, then she had a team of producers turning her piano ballads about her deep depression into Dance songs whilst forcing her to make music. Like she even spoke about how she couldn’t bare to feel like herself recording 911 because it felt too painful. 
 

I think Michael and the Chromatica Ball really healed her soul, and she felt like she didn’t need to make a pop record in the way like she had before. So now she can have a better life-work balance.

Plus like I said she’s nearly 40 she doesn’t need to or want to, be travelling all the time and rehearsing all the time and turning new looks and performances out. She’s legit achieved her dreams and more.
