I couldn’t agree more with quite a few things people have said here like @Killa especially - you hit the nail on the head. Yes there is promo but it’s a mess / no strategy behind the timings whatsoever, and the results are clear (no hype or even awareness of LG7 with the GP, lack of commercial success, etc.).

Here's my problem though...if she wanted Disease and LG7 to have "more" she absolutely could.

People keep saying "it's the age of TikTok" as a reason for the label being hesitant to fully fund a classic era (many videos and singles) but Gaga has more than enough cash in her pocket to personally fund whatever tf she wants  

She created the whole G.U.Y. video on her own dime and she's easily ten times as wealthy now than she was in 2014.

I also see people here saying they've never seen her so excited to make music but...idk, I've never felt more like she's just treating it all like a job rather a passion. It's never felt so "bare minimum" before and you can't blame that on short form media apps  

That's why I just want her to quit and do acting full time already tbh. She clearly adores it, we only got Harlequin 'cause she felt her character for Joker so passionately.

This. I have a feeling LG7 will be her least commercial album sadly and will be very divisive among this fanbase.

Honestly this era should've started in 2025. I wanna stay positive because I like to have hope, but this era really should've had a 2025 start.

True, but she probably just wants to release the music without doing a lot of promo. 

More promo automatically comes with more focus on commercial success and bigger expectations. Especially if she puts in her own money. 

By letting the song live organically you can just focus on (emotional) reception and live with the fact that some songs aren't going to smash. She already solidified herself in the industry so she doesn't need a hit single to keep doing what she loves.

Disease does deserve more though.

Well...yeah, that's kind of my point  

Disease isn't living organically, she died the moment DWAS starting taking off  had its promo schedule scrapped, it was demoted from lead single to...idek what  

If Gaga cares more about the music itself she'd have stayed the course and chatted up the GP and fans about her new album and the single she dropped two months ago while delivering some stellar performances.

Instead, a decision was made based on commercial performance and now DWAS is like the kid that gets all the toys while Disease lives in the shed eating cockroaches for breakfast  

I'm just annoyed with everything about her last year and I don't expect anything to get better during the actual album era itself (if there even really is one )

The fact that the only successful thing this year was DWAS makes it worse.

This haha we were all on the edge of our seats thinking something LG7 was coming in june/july because of how they teased at the end of TCB only to get it in october-februarynot to mention that she started teasing new music last July in that apology post.

Now you all know I love Gaga but yea the hype died for LG7 

I know I’ll be excited when it’s released but I mean why get us excited for a “return “ or “dark pop” album just to release DWAS and now it’s on the album and now technically the lead ……like I feel bad being annoyed but I had to get it off my chest.

joker movie + harlequin album. I love the joker song. Tbh… I didn’t watch the movie.. I will someday but I think it was cool to see her with all the promo stuff.

After that disease. Website teasing , lyrics tease , great gaga-esque song~ her old vibes but new. 
 different version of the song ,acoustic, tik tok Gaga.

prob Gaga leaking steams , demos n stuff for fans. 
 

I could go on and on but this era is just one of her bests. At least for me. Its so intense and she keeps on delivering. 
I really cannot understand how someone can say that this era is underwhelming. Yes we don’t have a live disease performance rn. But she’s already working on Coachella and Brazil.

I think LG7 era is her best in years. Prob since born this way. 
and I’m a hardcore ARTPOP Stan but that era (even tho I also loved it ) was hard to watch cuz of all the announced things that didn’t happen. Imagine Harley Quinn tape session x 10 (if u know u know)

Will lg7 come in feb ?  Don’t know. I’m just so happy to get slayed by all of Gaga’s hard work these days .

i even enjoy not knowing much about that album. The mysterious vibes … fantasizing with fans. 

And I can’t wait to see what’s next. I just hope LG7 won’t get delayed, but if it does then she will have her reasons for it. 
If  not we are about to get weeks of snippets , teasing , reveals (cover , Titels etc)

This era is awesome.

Does it though? Even DWAS did not receive much attention from Gaga. She performed it twice when it dropped but since then nothing. Releasing the alternate versions was just done by her team.
