After seven years as a judge on American Idol, it's Katy Perry's turn to face feedback — and her latest critic isn't holding back.

Over the weekend, musician Steven James shared his reaction to one of the singer-songwriter's new tracks, "OK," in a now-viral video.

"This can’t be the same person who eliminated me on American Idol 5 years ago," James wrote over the TikTok video, which sees him grimacing through the song and giving the camera the side eye as it play

Commenters were quick to pile-on below the video, with one TikTok user writing, "Sounds like a theme song of a PBS kids show," while another added, "Damn, when you put it that way."

The track arrived earlier this month as part of 1432, a deluxe version of Perry's recent LP, 143. The new edition came with four extra tracks, including, “OK."  source

The X-Factor people better not come for Britney too

Tbf britney is not the most qualified person to give tips on delivering live or studio vocals. She is a great performer but her job also entailed coaching people to sing.

I don't ever want to find myself defending Katy Perry of all people, but these contestants need to take several seats. She might be releasing the worst music known to humanity right now and her floppage can be observed from lightyears away but she still was a very successful and relevant musician for a period of time. She does know a thing or two about being a popstar. "This can't be the same person who eliminated me on American Idol" Uh yes, probably because you don't have IT, honey.

The song really isn’t that bad. There are a lot of bandwagon haters on tik tok and on sites like this, that will completely let songs like “WAP” pass, but completely bash this one.

if it’s any consolation, ice spice’s music is also sh!tty, it just so happens that Katy is better known and should’ve known better than to release the constant stream of uninspired crap she’s been putting out lately. Katy is a bad person with minimal talent who was only shot into stardom bc she got lucky with good producers and designers. also, the song is that bad lol

🇨🇺🇧🇸 monica from rhoslc kinda had a point

I mean her biggest hits came from a song writer she didn't want to work with.
So I'm not convinced Katy Perry knows a thing or two about being a popstar.
