Stupid Love fell off quick (the poor thing) and Bloody Mary was a ten year old song that went viral 'cause of a silly dance trend.

I mean a real "Gaga released a song, promoted a song, and that song charted well and/or charted for a long time without another person's name on the song/larger project".

Million Reasons really is the last one to fit that, I think. Could be wrong though, it's subjective anyway and like I said, I don't really care, I'm just yapping 

Let’s talk about it. If Gagita locked in and gave us a 2000s Mariah-esque RnB album with nothing but smooth vocals and polished production and some ballads, the GP would eat it up.

I actually disagree with that part at least. Her collabs almost always feel special, maybe because she only works with artists she connects with, it's not just strictly business imo. Maybe that's one of the reasons her collabs tend to do well.

And probably DWAS wouldn't be the biggest song in the world without her

Oh for sure. Nobody would stand a chance  

She's absolutely a hit maker but she bailed on her evolution as an artist imo. 2016-2019 showed incredible growth and change then she immediately fell back on dance pop which both did "meh" on the charts and felt "meh" (to me at least).

I used to think that 'cause she shelved her Cher collab, citing their inability to actually get together and make it rather than emailing vocals in and having it made.

But idk, I don't feel that same magic in it anymore. Especially with the decision to put DWAS on LG7.

when lg7 ends up being her magnum opus you'll let go i mean, if disease is anything to go by, we are in for something special  one song won't ruin the album, let's let her have her flowers

I really think disease was never meant to have much promo, I don't know why they took that decision and I don't agree with it but that was the plan because the lack of physicals is very telling and DWAS might not have anything to do with that, if anything, I'd blame joker reception, if she promoted disease heavily, it could cause an overexposure situation that could affect the era negatively.

 

Idk, I don't agree with all the decisions she and her team made but I still trust her to deliver a good album and plenty of promo in the coming weeks, especially now, with DWAS in the album Interscope is probably much more inclined to invest in the album promotion.

 

Plus, she's just an Italian girl from new york, she's not perfect  We want her to be perfect but that's not realistic, we hold her to the highest standard, she's not this god like entity (don't quote me on this), she has her own ambitions and desires and it was never a secret that she wants the charts and the arts. I made my terms with that a long time ago but I also understand that people have an issue with it.

Overexposure is a myth tbh. There's a billion sources of media these days, if you don't wanna hear about an artist, you won't. Even back in her peak days, she was never overexposed, she just got political and therefore divisive. And that's the best way to exist as an artist imo.

She was too scared of the bad PR to even get involved with this election until the last minute and even then it was extremely underwhelming and borderline meaningless  

And she simply didn't promote Disease beyond a week out 'cause it lowkey flopped. Which is annoying as sin...both the flopping and the decision to let it die  

Anyway, I'm annoyed by things that you don't see as concerns, which I respect. These are "me" problems, I don't wanna keep stirring the pot in the charts thread
