Thats a ball park figure. Of course as far as net worth goes theres also nuance depending on the situation and I might be ok with some ppl going a little higher than that range if the main reason their net worth is high is because they own a big company, real estate for that company, machinery and other expensive tools, inventory etc

 

Some large farms for example can have Millions in assets and still lowkey be cash poor for example

 

Like if your making $1M a year with a highly successful business but have a networth of like $20M+ for said reasons, I might still accept that as acceptable as long as your income is fairly taxed

 

But yeah that is more or less my perception of what wealth limits should be. A big difference from even a few years ago. When Bernie said Billionaites shouldnt exist at first I took that as an extreme statement but it got me thinking more about it and it made me change my mind big time on how I perceive what wealth limits should be if the system was fair

 

Edit: I also now support limits on untaxable cash gifts to children as well as overall limits on how much you can inherit (within reason). Once numbers get high, government should take the rest

I am happy for her if she gets the no 1 but in all honesty ... I wish she gets that No1 with her solo album. Not that I'm about charts or anything but I feel like she's been stuck singing all these soft pop duets and it's working but that is not who she really is and the direction of Disease clearly shows that imo. Ya'll will say she's all these other genres too and she'll say the same thing but back in the day with Bad Romance and TFM has been the days she's coming back to now. I wish her she'll find the same strength in her next album. Regardless I'll continue to support her and I will listen to anything she puts out

The reality is those sounds in 2024 and now 2025 are gonna be an uphill battle to make a hit and she probably wont manage to

 

And thats ok. Disease not charting well doesnt make me like it any less and I still like it more than DWAS (even tho I do like DWAS a lot too dont get me wrong)

 

But Im just saying I wouldnt hold out too much hope for Darkga and dark Synth-Pop solo songs to chart high...

 

Its simply not the trend and Gaga is no longer the IT girl that has the power to likely start a new trend either. Just setting expectations here at a realistic level

I kindly disagree. Dark pop songs are trending daily on TikTok. I feel like it has more to do with Gaga herself as a public figure. She's simply more known as a general musician or pop artist nowadays or as an actress and Hollywood figure than being connected to her 'earlier' years that were so poignant. You knew what you got from here back then. I feel like now it's all and a bit from everything and it just happens to be that love duets appeal more to the GP with her. Something would need to happen to make people understand again why she's the lady of dark synths and electrifying dark pop songs the same way it happened the first time. Become weird again and connect to her true rebellious heart. Disease is a banger in its own way yet it fails to hypnotize me because I feel like she's still playing safe and not going 100% and really risk something the way it happened with her performances back then. Idk I don't want to downplay anyones love for the song or the album. It's just my personal view on these things

I’m so happy for Gaga, but as a fan it doesn’t feel like a traditional #1 on the books for her. The song is really a Bruno Mars song featuring Gaga, *in my opinion*. It’s completely his style and aesthetic. So to me, it has about as much weight as a song going #1 that Gaga was featured on.

the records will show this is her 6th number 1  let's not get caught up in semantics  nobody more deserving that her.

 

Plus, you have to start wondering, isn't SHE gifting hits? I mean, every big collab she does goes 1, first rain on me, then DWAS, if we go back in time we also have telephone that "gifted" Beyonce a huge hit.

My point is, let's give her credit, it's a bit annoying seeing people overlook her insane achievements just because it's a collab, if collabs were a sure way to make hits we would see many more big artists doing collabs, and when that happens it often flops.

Unfortunately Gaga has always, and probably will always be, treated differently than every other pop star around. It’s not fair at all, but it is what it is.

Probably 'cause Ariana and Beyoncé still get solo hits and Gaga's last solo hit was...idek, Million Reasons I guess? If that doesn't count then maybe Applause?  I guess you could count ARUTW but without ASIB (Bradley's movie) and Shallow (a collab) would that song have ever taken off the way it did?

Also, her collabs sometimes feel less organic and more like chart chasers to keep the lights on. At least, that's what DWAS feels like. You expect that kind of thing from other artists but not her.

Just my silly little opinion as one person who truly doesn't care whether she's #1 or struggling to stay on the top 200. I'm here for the music, not the bling

Stupid Love fell off quick (the poor thing) and Bloody Mary was a ten year old song that went viral 'cause of a silly dance trend.

I mean a real "Gaga released a song, promoted a song, and that song charted well and/or charted for a long time without another person's name on the song/larger project".

Million Reasons really is the last one to fit that, I think. Could be wrong though, it's subjective anyway and like I said, I don't really care, I'm just yapping
