This song is holding its own against Poker Face in terms of weeks on the Billboard Hot 100, it's solidifying itself as one of her defining signature tracks. This is the kind of song that sticks around and becomes a classic. Honestly, I cannot stand when artists drop a massive hit and leave it as a standalone single, never putting it on an album. It feels like such a missed opportunity. Including it ties everything together, making the album a complete snapshot of that era. It just gives the whole project more weight and lasting impact. Maybe commercially but I think artistically it muddies a project or overshadows the album’s artistic legacy as it becomes a “album that had this on it” type of album. Like I said, as long as the og album is intact and this is just slapped on idc but I think you make an interesting point and others with alternative ones do also
Wet Fire 6,684
I kind of think the inclusion of DWAS has given her morr scope of making the album adventurous. The inclusion of Sexyy Red might hint at the inclusion of varied sounds. I personally think cohesiveness is overrated. Cowboy Carter isn't cohesive yet it's enjoyable while TTPD is cohesive as hell yet monotonous.

Maybe re-read your post and understand the point you, yourself, are trying to make. You're still complaining about DWAS being on the album nonetheless and you're making assumptions as to how Gaga is structuring her album. "It should simply be a Bonus Track/Deluxe Track rather than replacing a new song." — Ok. Who's to say it's not? "It also seems like LG7 was completed ahead of the release of DWAS so adding it now sounds a little cheap." — When she was working on DWAS she said she was finishing LG7, but we know that Gaga likes to work on her projects nonstop. I mean, we know she's been in the studio in the last few weeks, so who's to say she's still not working on the album? It's not completed until it's released to the public. Adding in DWAS isn't cheap. It's a marketing strategy, sure, but why can't it also be part of her artistic vision for the album? "Also, Gaga has switched songs out for other ones before like MJH and Brooklyn Nights so the idea isn’t so out of pocket." — Just because she did that in the past doesn't mean she's doing that here. Every album and every creative process is different. "She’s also saying that she now has a song on LG7 that she’s saving for later." — That doesn't mean DWAS is replacing it. She has dozens of songs that she won't put on LG7. Are you going to say that it's DWAS' fault that all those songs aren't going to be on the album? I think you need to go outside for some air, it’s not that deep… lol the other 4 people who liked my post get it. Take care!!
