Oh my God! I know!!!!! I’ve listened to this song so much and I’m so thankful for it because I’ve never had an experience with a song like disease. It’s prob my favorite song of all time and I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels this way.

to be fair, he's on a league of his own, i feel like comparing other popstars to him isn't fair to them 

but disease is soooo good it's sad to see it kinda flop, recency bias is gone for me and I still think it's one of the best pop songs she ever made, it ranks very highly for me on her discography

It's fair tbh. Like I said, it's her most MJ-esque track  very late-90s/"Morphine" coded and I eat that song up like crazy.

I would definitely put it above any of The Fame singles and subjectively over TFM singles too

I love Free woman as a trans anthem though. It doesn't quite hit the mark for me, at the same time. I think maybe has to do with the double negatives in the prechorus  i cant figure out what shes tryna say

I might have to agree with you. It keeps working its way up the rank with each listen. The Manson-esque stacks? Slay. Then the high hats coming in on the second half of each verse make these p*ssy lips twitch and her vocals at the end snatch them bald everytime.
