Debt issues going over one billion dollars with no easy way out have doomed the company. Competition with Spirit Halloween, which is expanding to do more outside of October, has also been an issue. Another big issue of course is the colossal rise of online shopping. Barry Litwin, the new CEO, took his position back in August and was hopeful that he could turn things around. Sadly his plans fell through. ---- Dang. The end of an era for easy party costume making.
