2024 was actually a good year for music?

I don’t think I have ever enjoyed so much new music (aside from Gaga’s) in the last decade as much as this year.

There was Chappell, Gaga, Bruno, Sabrina, Rosé, Wicked and many more. All serving artistry and vocals. Is real musicianship finally making a comeback? I have waited so long for this. :wtfga:

This year was so amazing for pop, and music in general :firega: I especially enjoyed Charli, Chappell, Billie, Sabrina, Ariana, Gaga, Jade and the many bops influenced by 90s and 00s club beats :firega:

From my perspective, there's always been great music, just not necessarily the Hot 100 type, which for the most part sucks donkey dicks, even this year. There were way better years this decade.

I feel like there was an energetic shift in the approach to music for a good amount of artists. It feels like there’s more of them making music out of passion instead of as a product. I would even include Gaga in this, she always comes from the heart but there’s a new spark in her I feel we haven’t seen before.

Also the women supporting women this year has been amazing to watch. It feels more like a community than a competition now and I’m very here for it.

Brat and Chappell Roan were the highlights of 2024. Brat was obviously a very cohesive project and there’s something about Chappell as an artist that captured the public for better or for worse.

I would want to include DWAS in that but it was just a single that happened to do well. The song itself didn’t really inspire me in anyway. It was just exciting to see Gaga in the limelight again.

Yep. Some good music this year. Plenty from Gaga, and really impressed by Ms Roan. She could be a diamond. Let's see how she goes.
