Gorehound 3,678
Honestly the more she talks about this album the more bemused I get! This constant emphasis on “chaotic jumping into different genres” and “expect the unexpected”… like at this point we’ll get 5 dark industrial bangers then a sudden switch into jolly Swiss yodelling jk. The important word she mentioned during the Carpool Karaoke is “nuanced”. She can explore any genre on this album and make it all fit together as a solid work as long as it is all nuanced and feels like a natural progression (unlike Jn'D for example ). And she’s working with very proficient and tasteful musicians this time round remember. So at this point I’m just gonna keep an open mind. Disease is awesome, and the Paris snippets and “Zombified” all sound insane.. so I’m perched. Idm DWAS being added on to the album. I guess it was kind of expected due to its success. I just hope that it works with the rest of the album, or else is treated as a glorified bonus track. Hopefully everything will make sense once we FINALLY get to hear this album in full! (All I will say is that Gaga suddenly saying that it was her plan all along to have DWAS on LG7 is kind of an insult to our intelligence when it’s been clear from the start that it was originally meant to be a stand-alone song, and was only added on by her label after due to it’s huge success. But whatever, if it works then I’ll roll with it). I'm fine, Ta
MonsterARTPOP 627
No, we already know how 8 songs will sound: - Disease, Zombiefied, Shadow, Notorious Being, Abracadabra, Girlfriend and Mustang (if legit): all electronic pop bangers
Gorehound 3,678
12 hours ago, Economy said: Im not saying u are stressed specifically. Im saying it generally as I commulatively keep seeing discussions on this so that tells me at least some ppl are worried or unhappy about it, some outright directly said as much I dont get why. Yeah Gaga said it was a stand alone single but plans can change and 1 song is not in any way shape or form gonna ruin an album And back to ur comment im the opposite I actually like disease even more. But that said I do love DWAS a lot too though. Its been a long time since I loved 2 singles back to back this much so thats exciting as hell I think the last time I liked 2 singles in a row THIS much from Gaga was Paparazzi followed by Bad Romance so thays going on 15 years. Shes slaying me now It’s classic fear of the unknown, and a bit of PTSD due to Gaga’s past inconsistencies and I totally get it. It’s clear that most fans have been gagging for dark electronic Gaga basically since ARTPOP (me included). And that’s exactly what she’s been serving for LG7 this whole year (Disease, The Paris snippets Abracadabra and Notorious, Dance in the Shadow, “Zombified”). So the initial LG7 promised to be a dark, industrial and dancey return to form etc, (like a Born This Way 2.0). Plus we’ve also been oversaturated by her more adult contemporary music over the past recent years (Shallow, HMH, DWAS) etc,. So I can understand and sympathise that fans are being very protective of LG7, and now that she’s slowly beginning to reveal more about this album that seem to sometimes contradict what everyone was originally expecting, and that her more adult contemporary music seems to be creeping into the album (DWAS); no wonder fans are concerned and confused. No one really knows what to expect and that is unsettling when the stakes and expectations are so high. But we just need to trust in Gaga’s vision. She’s worked with some seriously BIG names in music this time round so whatever twists and turns LG7 takes I’m sure it’ll be exceptional. Once we finally get to hear this album everything should all settle down a bit and make sense. I'm fine, Ta
BradleyCooper 1,975
I get the sense the album already had music with all different types of genres infused, so she probably added it near other ballad-type songs / or love-related songs so it fits the project in some way. I imagine the experience of listening to it all will be chaotic in the best way

Nycboy 967
I 100% think the album changed directions at some point in 2024. I feel like at first she was teasing spooky dark pop: the monster and bat emojis, the Paris snippets, her black hair, Disease the song and music video — all of that felt like one vibe. I mean she literally chose to kick off LG7 in spooky season, and kept mentioning Halloween. Now, the album is being described as chaotic and many genres and she added DWAS. I’m sorry but that’s just a different vibe! She’s talking about her album more than ever and is no longer mentioning anything dark about it or teasing with spooky emojis. The photo from the LA Times article is her DWAS look. That’s very indicative of the albums new direction. Let’s say she hypothetically added DWAS to what might have been an industrial dark pop album, then I’m sure other changes were made (aka the chaotic genres) to make DWAS fit in better. Chaotic literally means she opened up the album’s concept to fit in other ideas and sounds. Yes, there is probably still some dark pop on lg7, but if the DWAS Dolly Parton music video aesthetic is now part of LG7, then I’m sorry but to me LG7 is already not a “dark pop album” it’s just a “pop album.” Edited 9 hours ago by Nycboy 1
Bronco 6,208
Honestly if y'all seriously think Gaga and her label completely reworked the entire album's concept in the last month since Disease came out and failed to make any major mark then y'all need to hand your lil manager card in. The average lead in time for physical media production is publicly reported as between 8 to 12 weeks. The album has been announced as a February release. Meaning that if LG7 physicals will meet the 8 week minimum, it has to be ready to press by no later than January 3rd - and that's ignoring any potential test pressing production period. To meet the 12 week mark. It got handed in at the start of December on the 6th. Again ignoring any potential time needed in addition for test pressing. And both of those are ignoring any additional time needed due to holiday shutdown windows. Either that or Gaga wont have physicals ready to go for the opening week. DWAS is a glorified bonus track that may not even be on physicals lol

The only exception of a no-ballads album is Chromatica and she never promised a no-ballads album for LG7. She has a vision for LG7 and we already have plenty of snippets and disease to decipher the direction she will take. And I'm sorry if I came off a bit annoyed, it's not personal I just feel like people jump to conclusions way to fast let's trust her! The melody that you choose can rescue you
chewing on pearls 368
I remember when Chromatica came out monsters were complaining that it felt like it was "one-note" or lacked the sonic diversity/surprises of past Gaga records. now, it feels like people are wishing for LG7 (an album none of us have heard) to skimp on the genre-blending/bending in favor of something more repetitive. DWAS is an incredible song, so is Disease. personally, I love that they'll be on the same record <3 I also think it's hard for monsters to swallow that we might not be getting a conceptual album at all... I have a sense the only unifying thing about this record will be that Gaga made it. if that's not enough for you, girl... I can't help you lmao I know everyone is super excited, so let's focus on February being TWO MONTHS AWAY like this is insane!!! who gives a **** we're getting LG7!!!! CookieHWilson 516
I was wishing for a pure Gaga album I would have love cohesiveness but that does not mean without it the album won’t be good. i do not like album with feat. or collabs, it is just my thing for the money DWAS will be good I wonder what kind of mesh of genres this album will propose and I hope they will find a trhead to keep it unite and homogenous in some ways i was expecting lg7 to be her legacy album, a la ray of light by Madonna but I guess we will get mostly what the GP wants And to those saying shut up and be happy is not like Gaga is my life. I need a good solid album to be satisfied, not numbers and sales cause I don’t get no **** money from the sales Edited 5 hours ago by CookieHWilson nonsequitur
Fadonise 66
You talk about all the time of the success of disease. but don't forget that it received a lot of positive reviews, basically saying that it is the best pop of the year, the label's approval of the album's sound already tells you about the quality in general. GerMonsterNotta 709
She clearly mentioned from the first details of LG7 that came from her, the chaos of it all, the genre hopping. This will be her most surprising album yet so so many different styles… i feel like critics may trash talk this, but who cares
