I can see why DWAS is part of LG7 and I am totally cool with it. That doesn't mean a thing about the sonic vibes from the rest of the album.

I remember a few weeks ago when Disease flopped, right after the flops of JFAD and Harlequin, her haters guessed DWAS would be put on the album to save face. 
 

SO many fans insisted this wouldn’t happen. Mostly because the sounds of the singles sound drastically different but also because it would be a clear sign of sales strategy and a lot of us didn’t think she’d care that much. All the quotes from her team months ago said this would be a one off single.
 

I can’t believe they are just stating this like it was always the plan (it clearly wasn’t) and now we are celebrating a top 10 lead?! Thats just delusional. It wasn’t the lead and we will look stupid to try and spin it as one.

Amazing news! I would have been so disappointed if her most successful song would have been left as a standalone. Also this makes the album a success no matter what. I trust her vision, if she says she realised that song is the missing piece from the record, than you’re gonna just have to accept it.

To be honest, I think DWAS and Disease sound like they’re from the same album even though they have a different vibe, I’ve always felt that way, there’s something about the production/mixing that’s very similar imo

That said, she said Disease was the lead single and this is just another proof that we’re in a fourth consecutive messy pop era and people are gonna make fun of her

anyway why is nobody talking about the fact this hasn't been labelled the lead and disease has also technically not been called the lead either? it was called the "first" single

to me, it sounds like they're getting rid of the traditional single cycle and just dropping songs due to how streaming works

Oh wow!  She was so clear when Die With a Smile was released that it was a standalone project, separate from LG7, but now it’s part of it. I guess it will make more sense once we hear the full album from start to finish!  With Disease, Abracadabra, Dance in the Shadow, and DWAS all on the same album, it’s definitely going to have a lot of variety.

Let's not forget Disease and DWAS both used old TVs as teasers...I think there always was a link
