Wym? A star is born was a smash hit success for being Gaga’s first major film. We have yet to see what Ariana’s next acting projects will do.

To be fair, as I said in my earlier comment, Ari started out in acting and most people know her from her time on Nickelodeon. Most people know Gaga from her The Fame - Born This Way days. I think it's fair to say that Ariana as a whole is a lot more easily digestible for the GP in comparison to Gaga (if that makes sense?) - When you found mainstream success in one avenue it's easier to be accepted back in to it rather than if you have to "prove" yourself.

To summarize, I don't think it's a stretch that, despite us knowing Gaga's capabilities and talent, the GP overlooked that and as such, there's far more criticism and doubts.

Pros and cons I guess. The downside is even less art control.

 

As we saw with Gaga, you can put your heart and soul and time into a project and do everything right, but poor script, execution by others, editing etc can make a project subpar by no fault of your own

 

Youll also never make as much money acting as an A list celeb touring

 

However absolutely from a stress perspective I get it. And if i had to choose I think id prefer acting as well

I imagine that records labels don’t have as much of a hand in the pot with movie revenue as they would a world tour. The artist gets to choose a less stressful job and pocket most of the money they’re getting paid versus having to split that with the label, promoters and all departments of the tour team. I would much rather take on an acting role even if the pay is significantly less too!

Shes probably in a strange point right now of her career where She kinda has to change gears and choose what Path to take next. 

Her sound Is kinda exhausted and leaning too on rnb could be hard to guarantee success. Going more pop or dance pop? We could be Friends seems tò be the hit of the album. But its kinda different from what i Remember the rest of the album sounding like. She hasn't really flopped. Taking time could do her good, She has both a fanbase and go following. 

 

Also She can Always maybe test Waters with a adulti contemporaneo kinda music for a movie, or a very different sound without much pressure.

Even with a lower percentage of profits your making a lot more touring regardless and thats my point. Money wise, music has higher potential vs acting (assuming simmilar level of fame)

 

But despite lower pay and less art control, id rather act. Again jist because it seems less stressful in mpst cases

 

Unless were talking weekly TV. Aparently for Star Trek Voyager they did some 18 hour days

Now Ariana can embrace her acting career more freely, that's amazing. Like ok "Victorious" and "Sam and Cat" were great show, it makes us so nostalgious but I can't wait to see her in more serious movies like thrillers or drama movies.
