but idk, what new things can Gunn bring to the table about superman, after so many movies and tv series, we've seen everything, it's like "look up" yeah meh we looked up since the 40s.. he's a 'perfect' one dimentional character that hasn't been developed much since forever, it's just the same story over and over, with Lois, Lex, Darkseid, Doomsday, Brainiac and Zod.

I feel this a little, but the leaks and supporting characters have been very promising! This specific movie's main antagonist *might* be run of the mill for Superman but the Big Bad of the universe is gonna be refreshing.

i trust Gunn in this, he’s the only one who can introduce a new character and really shake up the story and universe

Yeah because the millions of Superman comics need to be shaken up. There's literally plenty of material and versions that can easily be adapted. And if by universe, do you mean the DC live-action? Because James Gunn's The Suicide Squad did less than half than the first Suicide Squad movie.

I hope they introduce some of the cool Superman villains. 
 

Lex Luthor is obvious and essential to the story. Same with General Zod but can they change it up?

Metallo and Livewire could be good. Or Lobo. They can introduce Brainiac in this first film and eventually make him the main villain in a future movie. Bizarro would be fun to see as well given that James said this wouldn’t be as dark as the Cavill version. I mean, Krypto is in this one already.
