I will be watching it for the first time on my flight tomorrow, contributing to its number one status after so many people didn’t want to see it in theaters because the reviews were so bad but also desperately curious to see how it turned out.

I watched this during my Gaga-thon today and I actually liked it a lot more a second time

I finally watched. I officially don't get the hate. It was bizarre. Frustrating. Heartbreaking. Tragic. But I couldn't look away. 

Maybe I was expecting it to be the worst thing ever, but I really enjoyed it.

Was it the best movie? No. But it was very entertaining and I think was aiming for something bigger than just a run of the mill movie. It delivered in that respect. 

(Gaga was great, but totally under utilized. Not her fault, of course. She should get ZERO blame for anything that went wrong.)

This movie was really the victim of a hate campaign. Most of the ones dissing it were admitting they didn't see it and didn't intend to.

Like all the wannabe bro bros were told to hate it cause it was a musical with Gaga AKA probably too feminine for them to get into so they stayed away from it but ranted endlessly to discourage everybody.

In an ideal world people will watch it in Max, realize the hate campaign was overblown, and finally start to have their own opinion on the film. It’s not a perfect film and Gaga was def underutilized, but I really think it’s a wonderful film and was a very unique and brave portray of mental health, society and the prison system.
