Nancy Mace's claim that a man assaulted her while giving a handshake has been called into doubt. On Tuesday, a man by the name of James McIntyre told Mace about her anti-trans views and that trans people need help while giving her a handshake. After a staff member of hers asked him his identity, a swarm of police officers came in and arrested him.

Nancy has received attention as of late for her strong anti-trans views, including a direct response to a protest by the Gender Liberation March a week ago that involved a slur, though the wind appears to have taken issue as well:

Members of the bathroom-sit in protest were arrested, and Mace responded to all of this with the above video.

 

Trans-man Elliott Hinkle was at the event where Mace was allegedly assaulted, and he has pushed back against her claim. He has stated that everyone their saw what looked like a normal and non-violent handshake. Hinkles disappointment in her reaction echoes people saying that her alleged feigning an injury is a form of propaganda. Reactions by Nancy Mace following this have made people think this more, as Mace has claimed that this is a result a "dangers" of the pro-Trans movement.
