Shouldn’t icon like Madonna is has like (at least) few 1B songs? Her catalogue is filled with timeless hits. Idk how songs like Bar Tipsy whatever can get such numbers, while legends are struggling to hit 250M

because streaming is dominated by younger generations, who aren't really into madonna as much as previous generations who all would have bought her music way back then

but this also works both ways, cus these new generation streaming artists will never be able to outsell the likes of madonna as sales continue to die lol

Jokes aside, this is what I think it is. People just search 'popular' in Spotify/Apple music/whatever and when that one pops up they listen to it out of curiosity or click the wrong one

Honestly that's fine. She's just not a part of the streaming generation. She has about 15 songs that are instantly more iconic and recognizable to any person on the street than most of the songs in the 1B club.
