southpaw773 2,393
I actually enjoyed the movie. Although I didn’t see it as the movie of the year I didn’t get the people trashing it. However I also never saw Joker 1 either so was coming in fresh. We’re gonna build a mountain. 4SeasonsInADay 56
The full quote from his Vulture Top 10 of the year article. "Finally, a love story I can relate to. So insane, so well thought out, so well directed, so much smoking! It’s “Jailhouse Rock” meets Busby Berkeley with a 9/11 “That’s Entertainment!” ending that will make you shake your head in cinematic astonishment. Stupid critics. Gaga so good. Joker so right. Die, dumbbells, die!" 5 1
MOT 2,704
I enjoyed the movie. I'm not a fan of Batman/Joker type movies so I wasn't set up to be disappointed. Gaga was good in it, and that has to be a positive for her career-wise.

lance13 1,034
I've loved the movie from the beginning and can't wait for the DVD. I've listened and read nonstop horrible reviews. If John Waters and I were the only 2 people in the world that liked it......I'd be ok with that. I feel validated. 1 1
monketsharona 55,083
Honestly I feel like Joker Folie à Deux will be far more appreciated after some time. A lot people from industry already defended this movie, Quentin Tarantino included 3

StressedOut 617
I hope it gets some kind of reassessment when it hits Max, but I think that's being overly optimistic I liked it in that it's messaging was ultimately provocative, despite whatever other flaws the movie had script/pacing-wise. JazzGa 14,512
Tarantino likes it, John Waters likes it, evidence is pointing to a future cult classic so-bad-its-good B-movie m'gays Edit: Are movies with this big of a major studio budget allowed to be called B-movies? RichAssPiss 4,724
"Gaga so good" - John Waters Honestly. I did not like the movie but still think everyone knows she's great in the movie, even the people who hated it.
Reality 72,116
4 hours ago, Siena said: JFAD wasn’t what was expected or wanted from everyone butttt I truly think the hate campaign was overblown. It became a trend for people to just bash it, and I guarantee many of those people didn’t even see the film, they just hopped on the hate train. I went into the film with my expectations on the floor after all of the initial reactions, and left confused because my friends and I really enjoyed it. Oh, it was 1000% overblown. If even half the people who hated the film on social media went to see it, it'd make a ton more money than it did People were just hating on it to hate on it. The movie is not good, but it wasn't the sh*t show that many made it out to be. 𝕀𝕗 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕨𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒 𝕤𝕚𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕣, 𝕀 𝕔𝕠𝕦𝕝𝕕 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖 𝕪𝕠𝕦 𝕓𝕖𝕝𝕚𝕖𝕧𝕖
4SeasonsInADay 56
One of the things I learned during the JFAD roll out was that one of the key points to the CinemaScore grade is basically: Did the movie live up to the marketing? Which played a significant part in JFAD getting the lowest grade for a comic book movie. However much anyone might like the final product. I think its fair to say, its not the movie we hoped for or expected.
