According to Circana, Swift’s “Eras Tour Book” sold 814,000 copies over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Circana tracks around 85% of the print market, but the “Eras” numbers are more precise: Swift sold the book exclusively through Target, which launched the “Eras” tie-in on Black Friday.

Sales soared even as Swift skipped Amazon.com and other retailers and as some fans complained online that the $39.99 book included typos and other errors.

The only bigger nonfiction launch was the first volume of Barack Obama’s presidential memoirs, “A Promised Land,” which sold 816,000 copies its first week on shelves in 2020. But Obama’s memoir was available through all major outlets and Circana’s tracking for “Eras Tour Book” accounts only for its first weekend sales.

The initial print run of “Eras Tour Book” was 2 million copies, The Wall Street Journal reported.

Now that “the eras” era is over, I wonder where she’s gonna go next with her career. It’s obvious TTPD benefited from the hype surrounding the tour that also benefited the hype surrounding the re-recordings. I’m guessing 2025 is going to be the year of the last 2 TVs which she probably managed to get the videos and promotional stuff done in advance so she can get a rest. She’s been touring for so long and every shows lasts for like 3 hours!! and in between all of that she still launched 3 different projects!! She must be exhausted for real

I mean based on her schedule of 1 new, 2 rerecordings - 2025 should see the 2 remaining TVs released (unless she does the theorized double drop).

I personally think she'll do the Debutation drop and it'll be like March/April at the latest. Take the year off otherwise, and then reappear with a new album at the end of 2026 with a tour in 2027.

She’s in such an incredible spot now. It’s a rarified place for an artist to be.

The re-recordings project has ended up serving as the single greatest thing an artist has done in cementing their legacy this century, and I’m being so serious. She released a couple of albums before the re-recordings started happening, gained A LOT of new fans, and then started releasing these projects that felt like entirely new eras altogether for these new fans. From a marketing standpoint, it was absolutely ****ing brilliant, and it was integral in cementing her artistic and commercial legacy.

The Eras tour, and the fact that it was insanely critically successful, and grossed over $2B was directly caused by this. She created a cultural moment to rival Woodstock in the 60s.

She can truly do whatever she wants, it won’t matter how commercially or critically successful it is, her legacy has been cemented.

I know people here will laugh at this, but I can’t stress this enough, this tour, and these re-recordings, are the kinda musical touchstone moments that cement legends. Taylor is a legend now, there’s quite literally no way you can get around that.

(This is coming from someone Swifty adjacent. She’s one of my favourite artists, but TTPD and Midnights are certainly not my favourite records at all lmao. I’m just a pop culture nerd, and her career moves the past 4 years have been such fun things to follow.)

That's a gorgeous tour album and vinyl edition. I know that if I were a massive fan I'd be broke right now but those look like great collectibles.
