I don't think health insurance CEOs are good people, so I assume their children aren't either.  They only care about money.  He'd be working in a different industry if he had reverence for life.

I don't think he deserved it, and vigilantism and murder are indefensible, but I do think people would do well to think how their choices in life affect what people think of them.  These are the people who buy elections to keep systems rigged because they're greedy.  

So yes, in this situation, I would be looking forward to the money.

Working in healthcare with insurance companies may slowly turn me into alcoholic.  I had to get a drink tonight because one insurance company transferred me 5 times for an hour and a half for what should have been a simple question of this is person have this specific inpatient benefit.  That and dealings with Medicare Advantage claims .

 

I would not got that far as to kill a CEO though.

 

Even so how would I know where he would be at that exact moment.    This was definitely somebody with some kind of insider knowledge.  Not your random Joe Cool on a message board

Yeah. I have now dead family members because their health insurance didn't cover the cost of life saving treatments.

When the system is corrupt, when correcting the system isn't a timely option, vigilantism isn't merely justifiable, it's morally imperative. 

There are ethical ways to perform such vigilantism, just as there are unethical performances. We should strive to perform only ethical methods, but understand that the unethical are still an act of justice in the face of an unjust mechanism.
