Even Stupid Love had much more buzz around it and i’ve seen random people listen to it or talk about it. Disease on the other hand not at all. To be fair though everyone thinks DWAS is Gaga’s “new” song and people are obsessed with that song. I will stay on the hill that releasing a lead during DWAS mania/JFAD flopping was a grave mistake. The TikTok posts and the live performances were probably only viewed by her already existing fan base. Everything else was fine, the one missing thing would be televised performances, but I don't think the song would've done drastically better, it just isn't mainstream enough. yah but televised where ? there weren't any award shows over the past month, and SNL schedule had been set for months prior, plus TV viewership isn't exactly at an all-time high rn, so i doubt it would have made much of an impact if i'm being honest (case in point: Happy Mistake being performed on TV and it not having much of an effect on streams besides a few tiktok reposts here and there). The song will undoubtedly grow in popularity after the Holidays in early 2025 once Gaga has the chance to properly promote it without the competition from all the christmas music (and the Kendrik release). Friends, family or even strangers are not safe if I'm around . The truth is that I'm desperate 'cause the song is so good and is not receiving the credit that it's due.
