Did something happen to Gaga’s merch team?

I can’t help but wonder—what’s happened to Gaga’s merch lately? She’s released so many projects, yet we haven’t seen much beyond a couple of CDs and vinyls in her official shop. These past few years, almost everything she released came with a full range of merch.

Take "Hold My Hand," for example—it had a necklace, a tank top, and more. "Bloody Mary" had a T-shirt. "Sweet Sounds of Heaven" also came with a T-shirt. The Chromatica Ball gave us an entire collection, including a poster and sweatpants. For the 10th anniversaries of ARTPOPand Born This Way, there was an abundance of merch. Even smaller moments, like her VMA performance, saw releases like a T-shirt, bomber jacket, and hats.

But lately, there’s been a noticeable shift. No non-music merch has accompanied major projects or anniversaries like DWAS, Joker, Harlequin, Disease, The Fame Monster 15th anniversary, or the Cheek to Cheek 10th anniversary.

Even the music merch feels underwhelming compared to before. Love for Sale had CDs with five different covers, at least five vinyl editions, a box set, and three cassette versions. In contrast, Harlequin only had two vinyl editions, a CD, and a Target-exclusive vinyl. They didn’t even release the "SAFETY FIRST" T-shirts sold at the Harlequinlive shows. Similarly, Bloody Mary had three vinyl editions and a single CD, but so far, there’s been nothing for Disease—though there’s still a chance they might release something.

So, what do you think is going on? Did previous merch releases not sell as well as the label hoped? Are they holding off on non-music merch even with Christmas right around the corner? Let’s discuss.

I’ve been wondering as well. I know some Disease merch would be totally up my alley…

The ARTPOP anniversary merch was not it though, hopefully whatever they come up with is as good as the Enigma and Chromatica era products.

I hope we get some Disease merch soon. The aesthetics are everything and I need something for it

I don't know, but isn't this also responsibility of Universal? The commercial rollout is weird to say the least. There's been no physical releases, no merch, nothing at all. And like every time, there's so much they could be doing. Taylor's merch sucks in terms of quality, but they cover so many different things that gaga could also cover like tumblers, ornaments, blankets, keychains, magnets, coasters, phone cases, etc
