Wendy Williams Permanently Incapacitated By Dementia, Her Guardian Stated In Court

Wendy Williams’ health battle has taken a turn for the worse. The former talk show host is now “permanently incapacitated” due to her dementia diagnosis, according to her guardian.

In new court documents obtained and made public by Deadline, Williams’ guardian confirms she “has been afflicted by early-onset dementia and, as a result, has become cognitively impaired and permanently incapacitated.”

In May of 2023, Williams was diagnosed with primary aggressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia, just one year after she was placed under legal guardianship. The court-ordered guardianship oversees her health as well as her finances.

The Nov. 12 court filing involves Williams’ guardian Sabrina Morrissey and the “Where Is Wendy Williams?” documentary. Morrissey originally filed suit to stop the release of the Lifetime program, which detailed her struggles with health and alcohol abuse since leaving “The Wendy Williams Show.” The four-episode series was released Feb. 24, 2024.

The filing includes the claim that Lifetime and the doc’s executive producer Mark Ford “cruelly took advantage of Williams’ cognitive and physical decline by creating and publishing a documentary at a time when Williams was highly vulnerable and clearly incapable of consenting to be filmed.”

Morrissey’s team also states the doc creators “intentionally manipulated and goaded” her “to trigger strong emotional reactions and acquire embarrassing footage.”

Lifetime claims to have acquired “consent, input, and participation” to make the documentary before the talk show host ever had a guardian.

i didn't watch the doc but the clips i kept seeing seemed so off to me, there's no way she would have agreed to be showing her like that if they hadn't caught her out whilst she was that vulnerable

She stated that some people were trying to put her into a conservatorship against her will though. I wouldn't be suprised if it ends up being another situation like Britney Spears where some people are just trying to steal a celebrity's money...

I didn't like her way of doing TV but these news are always sad.

And that doc/pics are outrageous, so at least I would avoid posting any of them in here

im afraid that's not the case here. her cognitive decline has been very obvious.

she was so entertaining... like never held back and always stuck with what she believed in.

Yeah but maybe that's the direct result of the fear of being stripped away from all her freedom & money to be turned into a money slave  don't know.

Some people have said that this was a forced issue to make her get into a bad state. People theorized that about Britney too. (Obviously take this with a grain of salt, of course.)

Yeah idk something really fishy about Wendy’s…hate to be a conspiracy person but she’s made a lot of enemies over the years and a LOT of celeb stuff has hit the fan since she’s been off the air. Maybe coincidental but something feels wrong especially coming from her awful husband
