Bésame Mucho cancels 2024 festival headlined by Shakira

The event, which was set to be headlined by acts like Shakira, Pitbull and Los Tigres del Norte at Dodger Stadium in December, will not take place.
The organizers’ decision to cancel the 2024 iteration of the fest came after Shakira switched her fall arena tour for a stadium run next summer, according to sources. source

“Tickets for the one-day event started at $345. As of Monday afternoon, tickets were still on sale at the original “first tier” pricing. At past festivals, pricing increased as demand grew.”

 

Thats pretty expensive for a one day outdoor festival the weekend before Christmas. Coachella is about $550 for a 3 day event.

 

At least they gave a 4 week notice of cancellation. I presume most attendees were locals but hopefully those that booked rooms and flights can still have a fun weekend if they can’t cancel.

Oh thank god I didn’t get tickets (not like I could afford them anyway) but I would’ve been devastated  Gloria Trevi and Danna were also going to be there. So many great Mexican artists
