Didn't expect it to be coming at late as May but I prefer it when she's taking more time between projects, they tend to work out better that way. I think she needed a bit of break to recalibrate and enjoy being married. She works herself crazy and while I love her for it, she needs time to create great art. But with Lana, you can't hold your breath with her album promises. I was so excited for Lasso because it was premised as a departure in sound from the last 4 albums she has released (and I also love country and country influenced music), which while I like some songs from each, I find to be all too sonically similar. And seeing her working with Jack... I like Jack and appreciate that he has brought some of her most acclaimed albums to life, I miss when every album (from debut thru to Lust For Life) felt like such a departure and exploration in sound than the one she released previously. I am still excited and am looking forward to this release, but that song she previewed from it(?) is really not what I hope the rest of it sounds like.
