Hi guys, do u have info on Artists with multiple #1s on Hot 100 in 3 decades?

multiple a.k.a. 2 or more #1s for each of the 3 decades.

I checked a list & so far I noticed MJ & Janet Jackson with 2/more #1s in 3 decades.

MJ: 70s, 80s, 90s

Janet: 80s, 90s, 00s

if you have info, feel free to share.

Bey: only has 1 #1 during 2010s (?)

Madonna: only has 1 #1 during 2000s (confirmed)

Gaga:

00s: Poker Face & Just Dance

10s: Born This Way & Shallow

20s: Rain On Me & ???

the billboard article i checked:

I know Cher has at least one in the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, 2000’s and 2010’s.

Edit:

Cher has had at least one number one hit in each decade from the 1960s to the 2020s, joining the Rolling Stones as the only other artist to achieve this feat. Some of her number one hits include:

I Got You Babe: Cher's first number one hit in 1965 with Sonny & Cher

Gypsys, Tramps & Thieves: A number one hit in the 1970s

Half-Breed: A number one hit in the 1970s

Dark Lady: A number one hit in the 1970s

All I Ever Need Is You: A number one hit with Sonny in the 1970s

After All: A number one hit on the Adult Contemporary chart in the 1980s with Peter Cetera

If I Could Turn Back Time: A number one hit in 1989

Strong Enough: A number one hit in the 1990s

All or Nothing: A number one hit in the 1990s

Believe: A number one hit in the 1990s and one of the best-selling singles of all time

Song for the Lonely: A number one hit in the 2000s

A Different Kind of Love Song: A number one hit in the 2000s

When the Money's Gone: A number one hit in the 2000s

You Haven't Seen the Last of Me: A number one hit in 2011

Woman's World: A number one hit in 2013

Not all of Cher’s are Hot 100 #1s though, some are Dance charts and stuff like that.

yas this is the reason why i am checking these facts, cuz if DWAS really goes #1 on hot 100. that would be huge for gaga cuz she will have 3 decades with at least 2 #1s... a rare milestone

2010s | Perfect Duet - Ed Sheeran feat. Beyoncé (2017)

2020s | Savage Remix - Megan Thee Stallion feat. Beyoncé (2020); Break My Soul (2022); Texas Hold 'Em (2024)

_____

Destiny's Child #1s on the US Billboard Top 100:

1990s | Bills, Bills, Bills (1999); Say My Name (1999)

i checked Diana Ross & Paula abdul because both of them has 6 #1s. they only have 2 decades with multiple #1s.

So far in my research, I only notice MJ & Janet who has 3 decades.

so with DWAS going #1, Gaga will be the only artist that debuted in 00’ to have multiple #1s Hot 100 across 3 different decades?

if my research is correct, that MJ & Janet are the only artists, YAS, Gaga would be the only artist that debuted in the 2000s with that milestone.

I'm not celebrating until Billboard confirms on Monday. I hope DWAS will push through.

I also checked this list: https://atrl.net/forums/topic/271653-bb-hot-100-artists-with-most-billboard-hot-100-1-hits

Only checked artists with 6 #1s & above because of course, 6 is the minimum for this milestone.

MJ & Janet are still the only artists with 2 or more #1 Hot 100 hits in 3 separate decades.

I already tagged Gary of Billboard on twitter (because he makes articles when some fans tag him on twitter), also tagged talkofthecharts & chartdata if they can confirm, but of course, they won't reply. :toofunny:
