The gates don't open till around 1:30. We got barricade for No Doubt this year by showing up to the gates at 7 am and waiting all morning. We probably went too early, as others didn't show up till around 10 am. There is a portable toilet you can use if needed while waiting. And just because you get there first, don't expect people who come after you to respect that. Once the gates opened, there was a free for all to race to the security lanes, and people who came after us cut in front of us for security. To facilitate going through security, I'd say bring a minimum amount of stuff with you, and wear good running shoes so you can run your heart out after you get through security. If you have someone with you, then you can take turns getting food/drink and using the bathrooms. I'd say don't expect to leave your spot from 4 pm on (even if you have friends with you) because you'll never get back in. Also, make friends with those around you. We were technically in the second row all day, but we made friends with Blur and Tyler the Creator fans, who swapped spots with us for No Doubt and let us move to the front. I feel like I'm going to allow myself grace to see spoilers rather than just having to stay offline the week before. If i was younger I'd probably take it more seriously but maybe seeing the show online before will build even more hype for me! But that's just me personally. For the first timer, don't forget to register your wristband with the Coachella app. Also, get yourself a locker if you haven't! Other than that, the day at Coachella will be super hit and at night will be cold. So wear light clothing at day and bring a jacket with you, (which is why I advise you to get a locker, to store the jacket and whatever merch you'd bought). Bring sunscreen, a hat, & hydration backpack (unless you plan to spend money for F&B). They were sat next to each other at the GRAMMYs (albeit not as friendly as normal, but perhaps that was to throw people off) and Gaga has been mentioning a Telephone sequel definitely happening in almost every interview since the album came out.
