Gaga has literally always done versions of her songs like this, it’s just now they’re capitalizing on them and allowing all the views and listens to be officially attributed it to her accounts. If she was just doing these on random media forums then yall would be saying “why don’t they ever upload her acoustic versions to streaming!!” so how is she to please you? The OG Disease is still there just like it was after The Antidote. Next I hope she shows yall THE DOOR.

Not to mention she’s also doing TikToks and posting on social media nearly every day and sometimes multiple times in a day. An interview with Vogue just came out. They did alllll the proper playlisting and digital promo that they could. I guess she has to perform the song on good morning America at 8 am for y’all to realize we’re in a Gaga era. We’re 3 weeks in and we’ve gotten a music video and two performance videos with both alternative versions available on streaming like??

She doesn't need to justify anything to anyone. She is clearly in a good place and releasing things on her own terms and what feels right to her.

The bitter truth for you - which you are yet to accept - is that you have moved on from Gaga as an artist. Your definition of what Gaga "should be" is how you remember her in her past years. Unfortunately, if you were a real fan, you would know by now that working as much as she did back in the day hurt her deeply. She was viewed as nothing but a cash cow - a constantly working money machine that had to satisfy record labels and "fans" alike.

She has stated on multiple occasions that if she's not into something, she will simply say no. This means that the new, in-control, fully realized, and evolved LG does not fit your definition of what she should be. In other words, she is not the Plastic Doll you want her to be, nor will she ever be. 

This leaves you with two options: continue hating or change the channel. 

Actually, you know what? there's a third option. You can become an artist yourself and do things how your fans dictate they should be. Do it and kindly report back to us and tell us how amazing it is. I'm rooting for you.

In my personal case, I can't be excited for new music because of this.

Also, yeah, the acoustic (why are there two...? They're so similar as well) versions do nothing for me, I don't listen to the original much anymore, and she doesn't bring me as much joy and comfort as she did in the past. I also find the TikTok posts embarrassing. Feels like she's TEMU-ing her brand, even if yes, I know that's where GenZ (potential new fans) are. Sad.

I’m all for people criticizing and debating, but some of you guys need to get a grip. It’s just a recorded performance, and she doesn’t even owe you that.

I’m guessing a lot of fans remember their teenage years when we are all more innocent, and everything in the world felt more exciting to us, including following Gaga. She’s now 15 years older, just like all of us. If you went back to 2009 with your today self, you would probably be more critical of her and yourself then than you were before. Really, just relax and take what you like. Not liking a song is one thing, but complaining about a performance of hers is kinda silly. If you don’t like it, it’s probably not worth spending your time on a Lady Gaga forum, and that’s totally fine.
