Something doesnt look right imo, in terms of how all the actresses I saw looked on stage. They all had quite similar face structures, sharp jaws. Idk. When I see Cynthia I dont see that. Also the music clips we heard so far, not a fan. The clarity of the words they are singing is missing sometimes, which is essential for musicals imo. Also, the Defying Gravity belt in the trailer and she did last week at a talkshow sounds thin, and she tries to cover it by adding waaaaay to much of a riff. Is it the BEST movie I've ever seen? No, but similarly to 'The Avengers', 'Barbie', and 'A Star is Born'...this will be many in this generation's favorite movie. If you can't stand musicals, I'm not sure it'll change your mind. But it's tough to ignore how masterful this movie is.
