Gaga fans hate her a lot rn, especially here. It's really crazy the amount of hypocrisy I read on here. But I see a lot of crap coming from other fanbases about Gaga too so it's inevitable. Sometimes I feel that they hate us more than her though. do you think the katy backlash is born out of nothing or have you actually seen why people are done with her? mother, what must i do?

It's such a small arena...

Same size as Glasgow tbf and not much smaller than Birmingham. Could see it suffering from being between the Manchester & Birmingham though. StrawberryBlond 14,557
I have to hand it to her team, they played it wise with these locations, venues and number of dates. When she said on The One Show some months ago that she was going to be "touring all over the UK," it was concerning when it was clear how much the album was going to flop but this is playing it safe in a good way. It's well known that she majorly struggled to sell tickets to her most recent tour for Witness. The UK was no exception. She did 8 dates and not one of them sold out, even the smallest venues. Sheffield, Liverpool and Newcastle sold the worst, with just 5-6k tickets sold at each date (less than 50% sold in some cases). I notice she's not going to Liverpool or Newcastle this time. She's just keeping it to the most major cities, evenly spread out. Can't see there being demand for second dates but respectable nonetheless. But how many more European dates are there going to be? That is the question. 13 hours ago, tlittlemonster said: Can't believe she's doing Sheffield? It's such a small arena... It's the same size as the Hydro. It's bigger than some other arenas she could've gone to, there's ones at 11,000 capacity or less. Cardiff's biggest arena is only about 7,500. I think she's gone for that arena to service fans in the north. She did so terribly the last time she did a Newcastle date that I think the idea is that she's skipping it completely, which will mean any fans in the north east will have to choose to go to Glasgow or Sheffield, so she's going to sell those tickets better than if she had a date in Newcastle as well as those ones. It's a marketing decision to make sure that venues are as close to sold out as impossible instead of doing every major arena which will scatter ticket sales and could result in a bunch of half-sold venues as opposed to a few 100% sold out venues. 5 dates selling out at 100% capacity is exactly the same numbers as 10 dates selling at 50% capacity but it stands to reason that the former sounds so much better.

Not the case for me… I got a Groupon ticket to her show some years back because they were $15 and I was like what the hell, sure. I ended up leaving early because she brought some kids dad on stage and started talking about his ba*ls on stage. Was just weird to me. There were so many children, not my vibe. This has always been Katy's problem tbh Simultaneously trying to appeal to kids & adults as an act. Which makes her way too inappropriate for kids, but adults & teens see her as cringe and for kids lol
